NEW DELHI: Some users of Samsung's latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 have complained of facing random rebooting issues on XDA forums as well as Samsung forums. These users claim to be witnessing random reboot issues. Android Authority has reportedly spotted several threads on the issue on Samsung Community forums.
In the thread, one of the members claim that the Galaxy S8 went through seven reboots in first 10 hours of switching it on. One of the members has also posted a video on YouTube showing the Galaxy S8 rebooting four times in three minutes, not even letting the user unlock the device.
Few Galaxy S8 owners say that hard resetting the smartphone has resulted in fewer numbers of reboots. However, the method doesn't seem to work for all the users. The specific reason for rebooting is not yet known. Speculations suggest that the handset is having difficulties in carrying over contents on an inserted microSD card. Some say that few apps might be incompatible or corrupted, resulting in random reboots.
Samsung is yet to give an official word on the matter.
Few days ago Samsung rolled out an update for its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8. The update fixes the red screen tint issue, which some users in South Korea have been complaining of.
"Because there are some complaints about the red-tinted screens, we decided to upgrade the software next week for all Galaxy S8 clients," a Samsung spokesperson told The Korea Herald.
The red screen tint was spotted by some Galaxy S8 users earlier this month. Many of these also posted its images on the web. Samsung then claimed that the issue can be resolved if users calibrated the display from the settings.
However, after many users claimed to have faced the screen tint issue even after changing display settings, the company decided to fix the issue with an update.
